Man, fuck Yami. All my homies hate Yami.

Welcome to the first episode of Jaxton slandering your faves :] today we have: Yami Yugi from Yugioh!

Now if this gets any reach I’m gonna have some newcomers so let me say I’m a huge Insector Haga/Weevil Underwood Stan :] yet fans insist that Weevil, is a worse character than Yami. When Yami like many Yugioh characters has broken major laws, Weevil has done little to nothing wrong in comparison.

Yami in the original Yugioh manga murders, traumatizes, and seriously harms other characters for crimes that are usually much smaller than the punishment bestowed upon them. On occasion this even happens to other students at Yugi’s school.

Then let’s look at his crimes during Yugioh Duel Monsters: It has been confirmed that Yami’s “heart of the cards” was indeed, the magic of the puzzle that let him choose which card he drew, he used this in nearly every duel Yugi agreed to. So he’s in no place to look down on any other trick any duelist in the show has played when he’s the biggest cheater of all. I had much less problem in season 0 when they presented him as more of a morally grey spirit. But they tried to play hero in Yugioh Duel Monsters onward to appeal to a younger audience, I for one as a kid never looked at him as a role model. In season one he was ready to kill Kaiba to get into the castle (not that Kaiba was right for suicide baiting and yes I do understand the stakes, but Kaiba was also just trying to save his brother, Yami doesn’t have the right to take Kaiba’s life. Yugi was right to be afraid of him after that, after all that was the first time Yugi was fully aware of what Yami was doing in a bad way.

Fast forward to season 4, Yami uses Orichalcos to win knowing the risks and ends up losing Yugi because of it, then proceeds fo play victim the rest of the season and basically murders Weevil (a 14 year old fallen star I mind you, imagine when you were 14, if you suddenly became famous and then everybody suddenly hated you after losing one duel to the point you got beaten up in the street?? Not to mention we don’t even know his backstory, he could have reasons for the ways he’s acted. Imagine his psych at his age.) Even Téa, who hates Weevil, was concerned about his safety. It was a miracle he lived after that. He has every right to hate Yugi since he doesn’t know he and Yami are separate. (He was under control during the oricalchos, so his comments then don’t count as he was shown to not remember it afterward)

The Blind Date

Malik let out an annoyed huff as he looked down at his phone for the umpteenth time. He knew he was impatient, but he figured after fifteen minutes of waiting, he had a right to be irritated. 

He was a gorgeous man. At least, gorgeous enough to many people. Malik Ishtar did not get stood up! 

Honestly, he didn’t know why he agreed to this in the first place. Domino was bustling with clubs and nightlife. He could have just gone to one of those places and flirted it up with some handsome stranger. Instead, here he was, glaring down at his phone’s clock in the middle of the park. 

“Where the fuck is he?” he growled under his breath, tapping his boot repeatedly on the gravel pathway. Malik had even gone out of his way to dress up. Decent black slacks. A proper button up shirt that showed off just the tracest bit of his midriff. He was beginning to feel like he had just wasted hours of his time.
