rao bits from my brain i made HIM very op and hes basically the devil
rao is a primordial entity that ruled over hell. he doesn't remember his own origins, as he has existed since before time and when "there were only monsters" like the soul king. he did not interact with shinigami until after the three worlds split. rao began raining chaos to torment the soul king for trying to seal hell away from the other worlds, eventually gets bored and begins making contracts with souls. rao worked for the gotei 13 under a contract with yamamoto and was basically a kido teacher and stand-in captain whenever they needed one. rao vanished after a major battle, that happened over 180 years ago, where he ended up in a state of existence and nonexistence. the echos of hell eventually reawakens rao.
rao's is a he/him [get it?? his infernal majesty also in a gender has no meaning type of way]
his eyes/horns/tail were not visible to shinigami during his contract with yamamoto. he has a few monster forms.
