@classybouquetcat and I built a SHELF!?!?!?!?! Yes indeed we did because classybouqetcat had too many books and only one spot left for a shelf that had some very specific dimensions. So instead of go through the hassle of trying to find a 1x2x4 set of shelves with an open top we just made one!! MDF (medium density fiberboard) with L brackets and flathead wood screws. I voted for using gorilla glue but we didn’t want to wait for it to dry. After we built it it looked a little plain so we broke out the makers and wrote quotes (serious and otherwise) all over it. My personal fave is the second shelf. “caw caw motherfuckers”
