Hey guys--

So I know for a few days I’ve been saying that I would catch up on all of my drafts and stuff after the holiday, but due to life, that hasn’t happened. I did get a little bit of writing done and I have a small queue set up, but I’m honestly going to be hit or miss for a little while.

Tomorrow, I’m driving up to spend several days with @weightofmyshield. We’re going to see Endgame on Thursday and because of all of the spoiler threats and drama going around Tumblr, I’m probably going to be ignoring my dash for the most part until after we’ve seen it.

Because I’m going to be at my friend’s house, my activity will likely be spotty. Yes, I’ll have my computer and will try to work on stuff while I’m there, but I can’t make promises that I will be getting much done.

All that said, I know I’ve owed a lot of replies for a while now and I truly am sorry to be taking so long. I am going to do my best to get caught up quickly after my spotty activity for the rest of the week.

Like I said, I do have a little bit of a queue going and I will do my best to actually answer things while I’m with Ren, but until I get home, I can’t make a load of promises as to how active I will truly be.

For now, as much as I wanna write, I’ve got a headache and I think I’m going to take some meds and veg for a while.

          He’ll never be the same, he knows that, and has somehow come to accept it. Even as he sits in the midst of a low hanging fog in the middle of a clearing. It’s late, and he’s wandered out of the facility, and onto the compound grounds, a dangerous thing to do when he knows there’s plenty of cameras everywhere to track his every move. It’s the safest thing though, because if he remains inside the damn building... well. He shudders, looking down at his hands, closing his eyes as he slowly curves himself forward, and he exhales, feeling the grind of bones, of his teeth. It’s not a full moon just yet, but these days before, he still has the urge to shift, to change and run and rid himself of excess energy. It’s a pent-up sensation that itches under his skin until it drives him mad. Before he’d been found, he’d run rampant in the woods of the country. He never wanted to be found, but Steve’s broken hearted look... god, he couldn’t deny him.

          A crack of bone signals how the shift is rapidly rolling over him, and he grunts, curling himself forward until he’s on his hands and knees, breathing harder. It’s a white hot flare of pain through his left arm, blazing up his spine as it too shifts, the metal fingers shifting and curling, growing sharper on the ends as his body bulks up, fur sweeps over him. It’s easier than the first times it had happened, when he’d been terrified out of his mind even when he’d been nothing but a puppet to HYDRA. Those days had been the worst, when he’d been entirely lost to instincts, hit with cattle prods and worse to be corralled in to a cage, been muzzled and bridled like a fucking animal.

          As his claws flex, his eyes open, and he’s left panting when the shift is complete, his tail sweeping behind him and stirring up the fog. Blue eyes blink, and he licks his fangs, ears flicking. Turning his head, he suddenly stiffens, and his lips peel back as he hears movement, releasing a low rumbling snarl.

                       Izzy should pay more attention. If she’s going to be sneaky she should at least do it PROPERLY. You can forgive the tiny seven year old if you think about it thought; she’s just excited. 

Ballet class is something she looks forward to every single week. It’s her time out of the care home, where she can lose herself in the music for an hour. She has no idea if she’s good, nobody has ever formally taught her. What Izzy knows she gained from peeking through the crack in the door of the dance class going on inside the hall and following along with what they’re learning, using the back of a chair in the foyer as her ballet barre.

She doesn’t notice the blonde man sitting quietly in the corner. No one ever waits during ballet class. That's HOW she knows it’s safe to dance outside the door. She’d hid behind the old reception desk as the classes changed over that hour, feet tucked under her as she sits beside the lost and found box that she gets her leotard and tutu from each time. When the door crashes shut and she hears the dance mistress calling out her first instructions Izzy scrambles out and grasps the back of the usual chair lightly with her fingers.

“And first!” The dance mistress calls from inside. Izzy’s feet slip into first position. “And second!” Izzy changes with ease, over and over again as the woman inside barks orders of warm up to the girls under her watchful eye.

Maybe Izzy’s OWN eyes should be more watchful. Maybe then she’d have noticed the man in the corner.

                             It’s getting harder to figure out what he and Steve are nowadays? Are they an ITEM? Are they close friends? Tony isn’t sure. He knows he spends a lot of time in the super soldier’s presence and vice versa but they don’t exactly have a label for it yet. But even if he doesn’t know what to call the two of them, the media have been getting pretty restless. It happens WHENEVER Tony’s out of a relationship. A lot of speculation has been occurring, especially after the snap when someone leaked that it was Steve who waded in to save him.

It prompts Tony to ask the question that’s been burning the tip of tongue for a few days now. If they ARE dating... dating Tony Stark isn’t easy. It’s not like dating any old guy. He has a reputation. He’s in the press FAR more than any other Avenger.

“Hey, could you face the crowd? Could you be seen with me and still act proud?” Tony asks suddenly while the two are watching a movie together one night. Tony’s been gaining strength recently and while he’s still weak, he’s been able to leave the medical ward. “It’s fine... if you don’t agree.” He backtracks quickly, realising he’s never brought up a topic so close to one labels. Tony doesn’t want Steve to think he’s ASSUMED they’re dating before they’ve even spoken about it.

♥ What’s the absolute best experience you’ve had in RP? 

One of the best experiences that I’ve had is creating the world I have with @the-souls-of-angels and her muses.  It’s grown and changed so much over the last seven years.  She is one of the first partners I had on here, and I wouldn’t trade the verse or friendship that we have for anything.  She’s precious, and my muses adore her lot.

 ✮ Do you think you’ve improved as a writer through roleplaying? 

I do believe I have.  I have worked on developing my research and note taking skills.  I’ve also learned how to outline, to plan, and to learn how to be able to scrap some ideas.  I’ve had to learn that if they don’t click that it’s okay to leave the ideas by the side for a bit, and come back to them later.  Change is good.  Changing things until they fit is okay.

 ☯ Tell us all about your favorite muse you’ve ever written and why they meant so much to you. 

I have so many in my wild little bunch, but one of my favorite ones to write is Madie.  She spends centuries in her wolf form, so while she understands how the world has changed, there is a lot that she hasn’t experienced.  The way she sees the world is interesting.  She also struggles to reconnect with her family after never knowing them, but when she finds out that her mum never gave up on looking for her, that touches her.  Madie’s senses are more heightened, so at first, being human for too long is strange.  She still retreats into her wolf form when she needs a break from the human world.

@erasethestars / @inmypaperkingdom is such a sweetheart.  She is also insanely creative.  She is also one of my longest RP partners, and she has also become a great friend over the years.

           The big wide world isn’t what Eleven THOUGHT it would be. It’s nothing like she thought it would be.

This world that people walk so confidently doesn’t see her. The humans on the street brush straight past her. They catch her shoulders and push her forward with their stride, barely noticing the weight against their hip that RESISTS as they do so. People have places to be, they have other people see and they don’t have TIME for her.

No one has time for the little girl in the hospital gown who peers out of the alleyway into the bustling street in front of her. And she’s USED to that. 

For three days now she’s been on the run. For three days she took care of herself. She eats out of bins and she sleeps behind dumpsters. For three days NOBODY noticed. Until that woman. That woman who cared too much. That woman who tried to touch her. 

                                                          Eleven SCREAMED.

She screamed so loud that the nearby mail box lifts from the ground without doing so purposefully. She screamed so loud that it flies across the street. She screamed SO loud that it landed on a car.

                        Eleven screamed so loud that EVERYONE ELSE did too.

The people who used to ignore her start to run. They back away from her and shout curse words in her direction out of fear. Eleven’s terror only grows as the noise around her ESCALATES; as people try to grab her far more rough than the woman before. As her fear grows as do her powers. And soon it’s not just mailboxes hovering but cars too. Trees are uprooted. Window panes shatter.

She catches wind of a few words here and there from the men in uniforms that have surrounded her location. They’re not allowed to touch her. They’re not allowed to approach her at all. All they’re allowed to do is WAIT.

Eleven pushes herself into a corner, a nearby bin hovering at her side just WAITING for the moment it needs to launch itself at someone who will try to come near her. She hears more whisperings.

“The AVENGERS... I heard they’re coming.” One man in a jacket with the letters NYPD emblazoned across his back comments.

“The Avengers? You’re KIDDING right?” The other responds with a roll of their eyes. “It’s a kid... why do The Avengers need to be here? They don’t come out just a LITTLE girl.”

“She’s not just a little girl, Gary... didn’t you see what she did to that woman?”

                                                Eleven stops listening after that. 

                      Whoever the Avengers were she DIDN’T want to meet them.
