Reach Your Weight Loss Goals With This Advice
You've decided to lose the excess body weight, once and for all. Be sure that you don't make the mistake of thinking it will happen without an educated and decisive movement on your part. Take these tips from those who know that weight loss can be achieved with a healthy and positive approach.
Skipping meals is the last thing you want to do when trying to lose a few pounds. Skipping meals not only leaves you hungry and willing to give in to temptation, but also decreases your metabolism. While skipping meals may seem like an effective strategy for weight loss, it is actually unhealthy and can work against you.
A good way to lose weight is to always eat a well-balanced breakfast. It's no secret that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. After eating a quality breakfast, you'll have more energy to perform that workout later in the day. You should never skip breakfast.
Treating yourself can actually be an important part of any weight loss diet. Making hard and fast rules about food, such as telling yourself that you'll never eat chocolate cake ever again, can actually make you obsess about food. This leads to stress and overeating, both of which can ruin your weight loss plan. Try to give yourself a small treat everyday, or a slightly larger one at the end of the week for making your goals.
If you are home-based, it can be a challenge to lose weight. However, you can and should build as much activity as possible into your day. The reason to do so is that it will get your metabolism up and running much more than if you are just vegging out in front of the computer or the TV. Try to do things more inefficiently, if that makes sense. Instead of trying to combine everything you're carrying down to the basement, stagger it so you're making several trips up and down those stairs. Each trip burns calories, helps keep you fit, and keeps your engine running a little faster.
Make sure to reward yourself! If you have a craving for something, it is okay to give in to it occasionally. If you don't, you may over-indulge on other snacks. Giving yourself a treat is not sabotage. It is actually a benefit to keeping your diet on track. Just don't go overboard!
For some people, at some times, a low-carb diet may really be the answer, at least in the beginning. The reason low-carb diets work is that your body normally uses carbs as a first fuel. When you give your body no carbs (the "induction" phase of most low-carb diets), your body needs to use something for fuel, and so turns to burning your own fat. These diets have proven very successful for many people, but should be undertaken with care as people do need some carbs in their diet. Most low-carb diets nowadays move from an induction phase into a much healthier maintenance phase, where "smart carbs" (high-fiber, lower-calorie choices) are reintroduced.
We all need advice and encouragement from those around us, when taking on a weight loss regimen. Knowledge from the tips in this article, will take you one step further to losing those excess pounds, in an educated and competent manner. Take control of your future by making good decisions today.

Feeling that self image shame creeping back.
(Another ramble from my brain that’s kinda just me venting.)
I’ve been hitting the gym for the past 9 weeks and dieting the best I can to make a start on improving my health and confidence, I’ve certainly felt the effects, more energy, sleeping better etc.
I tried taking a topless pic to try and motivate myself y’know, share the body positive side of me. Well lets just say I ain’t happy with how I look, I know it’s still early days yet and I got a lot to shift but I need some reinforcement of determination to push me on, I got a whole summer of waiting to go back to Uni to get healthier and feel good about myself, This is an uphill battle with my mind being the main block in the way.
I ain’t quitting, hell no! but I need help.
I’m probably just being impatient truthfully, my only regret is letting myself get to this point in the first place.
Weight loss tip of the day
Stay away from fad diets!
No fat, no carb, no gluten etc etc.
They don’t work in the long term which is what weight loss and I mean SERIOUS weight loss is all about.
Limit your intake, drink water and get your exercise daily!!
