#weird college

I started dual enrollment at a local college and lemme tell ya, it has been an experience™️

First of all, my government professor is super misinformed about current events. Today he literally said that all the democrats were partying in Puerto Rico instead of doing their job? (No proof btw)

Secondly, my English professor is a super old woman and she talks really quietly, so class is a little bit hard.

Weird student things I’ve seen include

A guy that is OBSESSED with Halo and everything he owns being themed around it

A yeehaw man™️ only carrying around a planner and a pencil

A girl that unironically left, went to jack’s and came to class 15 minutes late with her food

A girl with hair wraps as dreads

There will probably be more, but this is the first week weirdness

If I were a uni professor, I’d be that one who’s always around, and involved in campus projects and events, but most students and faculty would be unsure what I actually taught (Mixed Media 2, Art Methods 101). Students would reliably take Art Methods 101 as a blow-off class, and then change their major directly afterwards. Not to an art field necessarily, but to something maybe less acceptable and more fulfilling than their previous academic trajectory.  No one who took the class is ever able to describe it very well, mostly landing on “It was, um, interesting, I guess. Not sure why it’s a class here.” My best friends on staff would teach things like Metaphysical Statistics, Fictional Anthropology, and Cryptobotany, and/or work in student aid.

Starting to get anxious and stressed about important things that I can't currently fix at the moment. The coffee that I had is definitely NOT helping.. :/
