i'm not superstitious generally but a couple of years back i untied a ribbon (we make wishes with them and the ribbon is «sacrifice» so to speak and untying it is Very Taboo) and i'm convinced all my unhappiness stems from this ribbon and i don't have it with me anymore so i can't tie it back to right my wrongs or whatever
