One of the most craziest conspiracies out there revolves around the use of electronic banking in this technologically advanced society. 

There is a conspiracy that electronic banking and virtual money (debit and credit cards) were developed by a secret group in order to take over the world. The plan, according to the theorists is to eliminate all physical money and reduce financial transactions onto an electronic basis. Once this has been achieved, this 'secret group' will then cause a global electronic blackout, which will also erase everyone's bank accounts, creating chaos and panic. 

The alleged motivation for this plan is to cause the reintroduction of slavery into society, as no one will possess the financial security that allows them the degrees of freewill they have today. 

However, this wild conspiracy theory is often ignored and often is refused to be accepted.
