We still have strings of Christmas lights up at work but they're turned off. Today they flashed once. Then they turned by themselves, then half of them shut off, and so long story short, if you don't hear from me again soon it's because I'm in the upside down humming The Clash to myself in a tent.
I've been to busy with my 'MFA app, work, dog, and exercising to realize how shit my social life is. None of the people I call irl friends are available but I think it comes from years of not being able to be a great friend to them. I'm tired and I'd fucking kill for company. But I'm not unhappy, weirdly enough, being alone. Like. I'm not lonely because I'm so much of a person but I wish I could share that with people. I wish someone would come make art with me :/

Me, one day after putting $8.20 in coins in my bank account and holding a chipped thermos of ice coffee I made by brewing coffee, pouring it into an old milk jug and putting it in the fridge: fascinating.
Lately whenever I fly somewhere, I think about how years & years ago I was obsessed with the Rocky Horror cast recording (god I’m old) and for a couple years used to listen to it whenever I went on a trip. It was like a tradition with me.
Anyway, when I became a huge Raúl fan in recent years I picked up the tradition again. It makes me sad, though, thinking about all the years I could have been a fan.
