Why does every athletic coach have a math major?
At least one of them teaches a different course but math is the default subject.

A Reasonless Fate
He stood up and walked out the door, unaware of what had possessed him to do so. He stepped outside and looked around. A sudden burst of energy and a tugging came over him. His legs rushed him over to the next street.
Even though he wondered where he might be going, he still followed along with whatever was luring him that way. Or at least he would like to think he was. At least, a little in control.
He tripped over himself through his steps until he hit the dimly lit stairs. His feet skipped over as he climbed their way to the top. He felt a little happy, a little excited. He opened the door, and there sat a man in the corner on a chair with a sack over his head and eyes cut out to look like a mask.
“I recognize you! I recognize that mask!” shouted Riley, who walked over without a reason to even open the door to this man.
The man stood up, walked a little toward Riley, pointed his hand at him, and pulled the trigger. In that instant, he realized that something inside him led him to his demise. And beyond that moment, he could do nothing about it.
