lukewarm take of the night: driving licenses being required for positions where driving isn't required or could absolutely be optional as a reasonable adjustment is just a way of filtering out disabled people.
example: i'm legally not allowed to drive because i have seizures. i got rejected from a job with very good public transport links a short distance from my home, which did not involve driving in any way, for not being able to drive to the location.
