WIP game thing: RILEY POOLE (my phone automatically puts in all caps from all our screaming about him 🤣) and Phoenix Adventure!!!!

The Riley Poole fic is, so far, Riley getting mugged outside a burger shop, and the mugger recognizing him as that treasure hunter guy. Riley naturally assumes he means Ben, but the mugger wants him. He'll end up trying to get Riley to hack or break into something, while Riley is leaving clues for Ben. Hopefully they can come rescue him before it all goes to pot.

(Has this idea been done by me already with other characters (ahem, Tony and Steve)? Absolutely. Am I going to try it again with Ben and Riley? You betcha!)

(Or something like that. I only have the first chapter written).

The Phoenix Adventure is an original fic I've been noodling on. There's just something about the idea of going on a trip with a celebrity and it not being what the person expected that interests me. (Not like a murder or an abduction, because that has been done, but like a Rat Race type of situation, but for charity instead of winning the money yourself.) IDK if anything will come of it, but that's the idea. And if I see that on the NY best-seller list in a year and my name isn't on it, I know it was from one of you!!

7. What is your favourite sentence/paragraph?

Technically I answered this here but I have more.

From Resolution

“Enough that he’s worried you’re going to do something in retaliation for Silver’s visit today.” Bobby leaned forward so he was directly in Johnny’s eyeline. “You’re not, are you? Because that would be a level of monumental stupidity that even you have yet to cross.”

From Conflict (the line itself isn’t that great, but it caused @you-cant-just-import-answer to segfault, so it deserves a spot here)

[Kreese] did however grab one glass of water and slide it across the table to Johnny, who dumped it onto the flower beds lining the railing without a second thought.

8. If you got a computer virus that deleted all your fics but had just enough time to save one before they were wiped out, which fic would you pick and why?

Jokes on you: I compulsively back everything up to Google Drive and an external hard drive. :) But if I were going to save one, probably the filler scenes from Conflict/Resolution set between the police station and the trial. My other WIPs are not nearly that long or in depth, so they would be less difficult to rewrite. Everything else has been posted to one site or another.

9. The “you got kudos“ e-mail is usually much appreciated, but is there a fic you wish you didn’t get these e-mails for? if so, which one and why?

Not from ao3, but every so often, I get a ‘favorites/follow’ FFN email for my first fic, which was fun to write, but definitely not my best. There are at least four other fics I’d rather you as a reader spent your time on instead, that much better reflect who I am (or was) as a writer/NCIS fangirl.

12. What headcanon will you keep implementing in your fics, even if canon ends up contradicting it?

I think we’ll see it in Season Four, but that Sam would be a better Cobra Kai than Miyagi-Do. That Anthony actually exists. That Johnny stays in way better touch with the ex-Cobras after their reunion and Tommy’s death. Also, Jarmen (if written well) is a good endgame for Johnny, especially once he puts in the time to repair his relationship with Robby first.

14. What trope would you refuse to write even if you were paid to do it?

‘Rape/Non-Con’ really isn’t my thing. ‘Explicit sexual content’ either.

I would write ‘Major Character Death’ if I was paid to do it, but if it were one of my favorites, it’d hurt me a lot more than it’d hurt you.

Ooh I haven’t seen most of these. But OMG I watch Holiday in Handcuffs every year. It’s so ridiculous and amazing. I also love to watch Snow and Snow 2 with Tom Cavanagh. Basically any movie you’d find on Freeform from back when it was ABC Family! Lol

I hate what we have to put up with because of "the customer is always right" mentality. I had to tell a customer to look at my face, not my chest one time. And not just customers. Co-workers too. I had to be at work at 6am today. I'm not a morning person. And one my older coworkers asked "Are you so tired from all the sex you had all night?" Like.. wtf? Why is this okay?

You know what’s weird? I actually only like the short dress/long gown thing very rarely but it works for me. I think seeing the way it moved helped me.

It’s like light and flowy and very punk rockish. It works.
