Im living for diego and diana so can i please get 41?
(I’m so glad that you enjoy them! I honestly love these two so much and I’m really strongly considering writing Diana’s story.)
Write a kiss... because the world is saved.
“You know, we never really get to see the stars in the city.”
Diego looked to Diana, who had her head tilted back to stare up at the night sky. The two of them were sitting on the front porch steps of the Coopers’ house, waiting for the rest of Diego’s siblings to join them. Allison had gone off to leave a goodbye letter for her husband, Ray, while Vanya sat in her room in the Cooper home, grieving the absence of Sissy and Harlan, who had already left. Wherever his brothers were at the moment- well, as long as they weren’t almost getting killed again, Diego didn’t particularly care at the moment. He was just happy to have a peaceful moment alone with Diana.
“No, we really don’t,” he replied, glancing up at the vast amount of stars above them for a moment before turning his gaze to the woman that he loved again.
After thinking that he might have lost her when the portal had dumped them out in separate years and almost losing her to the apocalypse yet again- not to mention that whole battle with the Commission where he was almost crushed by a tractor- Diego never wanted to be without her again.
“We should take a trip when we get back to the future,” Diana stated, moving her head to look at her boyfriend, her eyes sparkling with excitement, “somewhere where we can just look at the stars at night and lie in bed all day.”
“Oh, really?” Diego chuckled at her obvious glee.
“I mean, why not? Griddy’s is- I don’t even know. I got a text from a coworker saying that it blew up? I only got a quick look at it because we were dealing with a rogue Vanya.”
“I’ll bet it was Cha-Cha,” Diego muttered, a flicker of hate igniting in his heart for a moment at the thought of the psychotic assassin.
“The point is, we’re kind of free agents right now. A trip after everything sounds lovely!”
The corners of Diego’s lips tugged up.
“Whatever you want, honey.”
In a moment of content, Diana closed the distance between the two and kissed Diego enthusiastically.
The two of them were together once again, having defied time and space to be by each other’s sides. Yet, there was one idea that dominated Diego’s thoughts as his lips moved against his girlfriend’s.
When they got back to 2019, he would need some help picking out a proper ring.
