Meet Blueberry! 🫐 She is one of seven Ameraucana hens we recently welcomed to Blackberry Creek after their previous caretakers could no longer care for them due to medical issues in the family. Blueberry is seven years old and the sweetest lady. When our volunteers went to get her they noticed she was not used to being handled carefully, but was instead picked up upside down by her feet. 😳 She is learning to trust humans to pick her up carefully and is one of two in the group that seems to really enjoy cuddles.
