Morning y'all!!! What a beautiful #friday 🙌 Fall is in the air! 🍂🍁 This week's feature is: Jon Bander AKA Notoriousweld . Papamo) What got you into welding? Jon) I first got into welding in highschool and haven’t stopped sense after highschool I went the AWI (advanced welding institute). . Papamo)How long have you been welding? Jon) I’ve been welding for 10 years now and doing metal sculptures for two years. . Papamo) Types of welder own? Jon) I currently own a Miller bobcat 250, Miller mig 180 and a ESAB 141 tig welder. . Papamo)What's your favorite processes? Jon) My favorite process is tig and stick. . Papamo)What are your goals for the next 5yrs. Jon) My plans for the next five years is to set up my own welding business making custom sculptures and signs it’s my dream to turn my hobby into a living. . Papamo) What is one advice you would give to an inspiring welder or metal artist. Jon) My advice to anyone wanting to be a welder/ artist is to fail fast and by that I mean lean for your mistakes and build from that no one makes a masterpiece first try you just gotta put the hood down and build your skills! . Chris) My friends dad hired me to sweep floors at his machine/welding shop in 1997.  I then traded the broom for welding gloves. . Papamo)How long have you been welding? Chris) 21 years. . Morning y'all!!! What a beautiful #friday 🙌 So I'll be doing a #featurefriday every Friday! If you would like to be featured DM me!👊 This week's feature is: Kiana, aka PrincessWelder . Papamo) What got you into welding? Princess) Well my welding career started when i had finished highschool, i worked two jobs one as a cosmetic sales girl. I was crazy into makeup and style but as a year went on I felt I wanted more out of life. I needed a career. So i thought about what I might enjoy to pursue as a career. My father was a welder when I was younger, and had always raised me to be a hands on girl. When he passed away of cancer when i was 12 I kept his teachings close to my heart and was always the hands on girl at work. With that in mind, I applied to welding school here in Montreal quebec at Nova Career Center . I had 16 months of training in mig tig flux core and stick all positions. . Papamo) How long have you been welding? Pincess) With school and work experience about 2 and a half years. . Papamo)Types of welder own? Princess) Well personally I dont own any. However my favourite at work is deffinetly the Miller dynasty. . Papamo) What's your favorite processes? Princess) Most deffinetly tig. More specifically tig aluminum😍 . Papamo)What are your goals for the next 5yrs. Princess) Honestly I haven't thought much about it. I just really want to continue becoming the best I can at tig welding. . Papamo) What is one advice you would give to an inspiring welder. Princess) As a new welder myself I can honestly say ; work your ass off. Don't take short cuts. Prove yourself and work smart. Take pride in your work and maintain a good attitude to yourself workspace co workers. You can be the best welder In a room but if you're arrogant and sort of an asshole a boss would much rather hire someone with a better personality and a little less experience .
