Jon) I first got into welding in highschool and haven’t stopped sense after highschool I went the AWI (advanced welding institute). . Papamo)How long have you been welding? Jon) I’ve been welding for 10 years now and doing metal sculptures for two years. . Papamo) Types of welder own? Jon) I currently own a Miller bobcat 250, Miller mig 180 and a ESAB 141 tig welder. . Papamo)What's your favorite processes? Jon) My favorite process is tig and stick. . Papamo)What are your goals for the next 5yrs. Jon) My plans for the next five years is to set up my own welding business making custom sculptures and signs it’s my dream to turn my hobby into a living. . Papamo) What is one advice you would give to an inspiring welder or metal artist. Jon) My advice to anyone wanting to be a welder/ artist is to fail fast and by that I mean lean for your mistakes and build from that no one makes a masterpiece first try you just gotta put the hood down and build your skills! .
