its not THAT painful to think about because the reason the writing sucks comes down more or less to two characters are the only way their writing coudl be good is if they were written for the literal exact opposite purpose they exist to serve in the actual game so its not like there was ever hope for a better world but its so annoying because of how easy it is to rearrange it to be good
