I just wanted to write a little thank you to @dingletragedy and @weloveweird ( & @theballumplace ) for organising and hosting the Ballum Rewatch... it’s been such fun to rewatch but for me the highlight has been talking to everyone about the episodes/discussing opinions etc and having Ballum fans in the same place and the same time was amazing!

It’s really got me through the lockdown and gave me something to look forward to so I’m so sad we’ve come to an end... I’m going to miss it and the chats A LOT!

I’m really hoping that during the time without eastenders coming up we will be able to come together again and do something similar (going back to work and not having my outlet for escaping is going to be so hard)

But for now Thank you so much 😊 for all the time and effort put into the rewatch, it’s been a pleasure to be part of it! 💕💕💕💕💕

Like there are so many thought, head’s fucking full. Can’t believe they blessed us with romantic trope after romantic trope. Also Sam, the cat survived. An amazing episode all around. Gonna rewatch it a few thousand of times.

callum definitely needs to have a ptsd storyline. there’s no way that he’s gone through so much, and has only broken down like...twice. it’s such an interesting storyline that they could do, and tony would smash it

i’d also really like to see an exploration of ‘found family’, because that’s a huge part of their relationship already, but it’s something that i definitely think the fandom views more than the casual viewer of the show. it’d be nice for it to be more prominent

aaannndddd i’m going to say, i would love to see callum experience homophobia now that he is completely out, just to see how it differs from the homophobia he experienced from his family. plus, it would lead to major conversations between ben and callum, talking about the homophobia they’ve both experienced
