What if you have a ghost character... xD
When I fell into their dream like world, with no idea where I was, I felt less lost than I had ever before in my life.
Regarding your foster fae parents: since they have two biological children do the parents five then their real name I wonder. Do the parents willingly give up a name or do the children choose one themselves which makes the name true to begin with?
Hmmm that’s an interesting question! It depends on what you consider a True Name I suppose.
The idea of having a true name that holds immense power is very widespread. I’ve seen it in Egyptian mythology, there it is a name that only the owner knows, no one ever uses it and it is not given by anyone, it just Is.
An often used one, of course, is that it is a name given by your parent, but it’s not often used. Where I come from it was tradition to give your child a second “baptism name” that no one ever uses. This was supposed to protect them from any evil meaning to gain control over them. It’s also not uncommon around the world to have a formal name and a “name that you’re called”, which is essentially a nickname, but no one ever uses the full one. The effect is the same: the evil never hears your true name.
Another fun interpretation I’ve seen is that your “true name” is the first name you ever gave yourself. This could be a mispronunciation of your given name, a completely new chosen name, or even the name of a childhood alter ego thought of in play. I rather like that idea, but it’s not very practical magic-wise. What if you forget the name you gave yourself when you were three??
When it comes to fae I think they have ways of Knowing the true names of their children. Maybe the moment they open their eyes it just comes to them. So yes, I think my fae foster parents gave their biological children their true names and they also gave them everyday names to safely use around others ^^
So you helped me find this one book I needed for my history essay and I heard people started giving you gifts so like .. here's one of my favourite pens. It just writes real good. I stole it from a bank. Thanks again for the book. Have a good one.
A pen that 1. actually writes (rather than being stuffed with iron shavings or a tiny rolled-up map) 2. in ink that does nothing but Write Good (contrast with blood, lemon juice, ink that sinks into your skin to become a living tattoo) is a rare treasure indeed on this campus. Best of luck with the essay!
If you can I'd recommend getting the pdf file of your course book instead of a physical book. Elsewheres trees grief seems to be everlasting and they can hold awfully long and grim grudges.
Like I know you shouldn't play with the gambling fox in a top hat, but not only because it get you into trouble more serious than their kinda adorable description might make you think, but also because all 3 of them have a serious gambling problem and you shouldn't feed into their addiction.
A good and valid point
I feel like eyes are constantly following me. I will seek out advice from the knights. I can't keep changing my major every time this happens. Moreover since my roommate recently started pouring in milk before cornflakes I can only assume what kind of monster took her place. -Neus
