What the heck is happening in your German politics?

a lot! and it's frustrating but also kinda funny. the schadenfreude is strong.

i won't go too deep into how our political system works, bc it's hella complicated and i can't really explain it in one tumblr post but i'll try to give a quick summary:

someone who is... not really liked by almost everyone (except maybe a few white old rich men) wants to be the next chancellor but to get there he needs to be elected by the Bundestag (our parliament) and he didn't get the majority of votes needed. this has never happened in the history of germany since the WW2. that fact alone is crazy but bc the guy is so disliked, it's even funnier. the memes are so good lmao.

@welshalbino !!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I love how people from all over Europe (and the rest of the World) have been supporting my country, Italy, in both these competitions.

I gotta say, last night was kinda special; we faced a team, in their home stadium, whose supporters were already convinced that 'football was coming home' and booed the whole time, even during our national anthem; supporters that after their loss decided to wait for our team's fans outside Wembley to beat them up. So, yeah, as you said, I'm really happy we made so many english homophobes and racists cry.

Our team is now in Rome on a bus going around the city with fans cheering for them in the streets, it's always special when things like these happen so you can be sure that I'll keep posting about it on my blog 😊❤️

Smell. I don't think much or anyone actually know this but I can't barely distinguish smells unless they're strong. I don't know what's wrong with my brain or with my nose (I know I don't breath right and I have allergy and I was born with asthma but hey), but I can't actually smell that much, so I wouldn't mind kicking that out to save my hearing or to make it sharper.
