Ganieda is the name of Merlins sister - according to the Welsh myth - a loyal and loving sibling who cared for the prophet during his mad exile in the woods. Ganieda built for her brother a great Tower with 365 windows so that he could observe the movement of the stars without venturing outside. Upon his cure at the hands of the Saint Kentigern Merlin abandoned prophecy bequeathing the gift to his sister as thanks.
