you know when you spend most of your life as a religious figure tasked with listening to the woeful confessions of others as if you're god or an angel and not something with blood and a pulse that stutters and you grow up like that, lovely caged bird, living a life of excruciating restriction with your view of the world all misshapen and cruel, and suddenly there come strange bright-eyed travelers from a train that traverses the stars and there are several murders to solve and then everything is happening at once and you're a wanted fugitive and you've failed your sister and the dream you promised together to work toward when you were young because you've done it all wrong, stupid little dove, you've wasted years of your life serving a man who taught you everything you now know to be terrible and wrong, and now you're trying to escape your home planet and your disguise is perfect except somehow, for reasons that elude you, that one stern older man from the star-crossing train catches you. he is more a threat than his flawless civility reveals, him and his walking cane. he doesn't trust you. the last time you met you fought him and his companions and nearly would have defeated them if your sister herself hadn't stepped in to aid them, because she loves you and sometimes that means stopping you. but the man listens to your story and he peers right through your illusions and he follows you into that theater where you must put yourself through once last trial before you are allowed to start anew, to become someone your sister can be proud of this time. he is your single witness. he looks at you afterwards and tells you with crushing sincerity that you are one of his trailblazing goals. you can find nothing to say to that because no one has ever said something like that to you before and the only other person who's ever looked at you with such kindness and understanding is your sister. and you want to change and you want to be better and you want to perhaps see the world more clearly and fearlessly this time, and if you don't follow him onto that train and into the stars you feel as though you might die. you don't know what he sees in you and you don't know how he can forgive you for all the hurt you've caused but you are grateful that he has walked with you through all this ugliness. you are prepared to never see him again; you are prepared for rejection. but he welcomes you aboard because to him you are, impossibly, someone deserving of his care, because he can respect you even after seeing the cruelty you are capable of and you didn't know there were people out there who could see you that way, like a person and not an altar. and so there you are, remade anew, with a long frightening new life glittering out ahead of you. and there you go.
sunday and welt, huh.

Shipped them just recently, doodle
Maybe there's info I don't know about yet but HOW it's possible there's barely content about Welt and Sunday???
How are they not a popular ship???
WARNIN FOR SOME SPOILERS, they're not very spoiler-y??? Tho
I'm just starting the mission they share after the Penacony arc and I just love how they look????
I mean
IF NOT WIFE, WHY HE WIFE-ING???
He looks so lovely disappointed??? (And I know the lore goes other way but c'mon)
He looks like "I left you just TWO minutes with the kids and now Caelus and March has bruises in their knees"
"I got distracted just one second, I was buying some supplies Pom-Pom needed-"
"-I mean.... sorry"

I need content about them, or know the reason why they're not more popular.
I need Sunday as trailblazer's mom (I've always seen Himeko as a cool aunt), spilling the tea in the Party parlor with Himeko.

Welt stands there for a moment and stares at him, chewing his lower lip as if warring with himself. A bead of sweat runs down his temple to curve along his high cheekbone. “I—“ He takes a deep breath, winces, the lets it out in a sigh. His voice drops, suddenly, still strained but somehow softer and more hesitant. “You made me promise you something, a few days ago,” he murmurs. ... He isn't in trouble, Sunday realizes in a burst of clarity. Welt isn't angry with him. He's not angry at all. Welt is in pain. * Sunday helps care for a reluctant Welt. He's not prepared for just what that entails.
*bangs pots and pans* Weltday nation, it's the sequel to my last fic! Come get y'all's food!
