Number Seven, as she was known to her creator, was entirely aware of her purpose within the compound. Her creator and his family had a morbid fascination with possibly extending human life, so he resorted to created many clones of his daughter, as she was his pride and joy. As with each of the clones before her, she would only be useful for a short period of time. Her body would only be able to take a limited amount of cutting and dicing before she had to be replaced.
She needed to make an escape if she wanted to avoid being destroyed.
Since Seven was free to roam the place she considered her prison, she decided to spy on her creator and his assistants. Each of the doors was unlocked, excluding the operating rooms and the main entrance, which required codes to open. Not a problem. She found the combination of numbers for the main entrance easy to memorize, as it was only five digits.
A problem arose when she did manage to sneak her way out. She was suddenly on the outside of her “prison” with no protection. And, she had no real knowledge of the compound as a whole, leading her to go in the side door of the huge mansion in the middle. All the lights were off, since everyone was supposedly in bed asleep. She tip-toed from what had to be the dining room to what had to be the kitchen. She was unsure.
The appearance of a figure in the kitchen startled her, leading her to fear she was caught. She backed up into a counter with a thump and closed her eyes tightly. “Don’t hurt me,” she said under her breath.
