This had been the worse idea possible– how had he agreed to it? What had possessed him to even contemplate that this was a good idea? Ever? 

“Dipper,” Mabel’s voice snaps him out of his trance and makes him look up from the menu. “We’re waiting on your order.”

“Uh…” He starts nervously, trying not to sweat, his hand being clutched clutching themselves into fists underneath the table. He looks at Lazy Susan who was smiling at him. “I’ll have burger and fries then.” He answers, which seemed to be enough for Susan as she nodded and scribbled it down, walking away from the booth. 

Whoever said that going on double dates was a good idea should be hammered down into a million tiny little pieces. 

It had all started when Mabel had suggested it. “Come on,” She nearly begged. “I haven’t been able to hang out with Pacifica all summer, and Wendy keeps saying that she misses your movie Mondays so I figured this was the best way to go!” 

Dipper wants to explain to her why he thinks this is a bad idea but he can’t seem to properly convey as to why. He had been over Wendy long ago, and he was just now starting to publicly date Pacifica so what could have possibly go wrong? 

Well, all current women on the table had blackmail on him, and he loathe to be the subject of embarrassment. As trivial as it may be.

“So,” Wendy asks, putting her elbows on the table and resting her head on one of her hands with a grin Dipper doesn’t like in the least bit. “Paz, do you know of the Lamby-Lamby dance?” 

Mabel’s squeal beside her was so loud, Dipper cringed. Both in horror and nearly going deaf. “Wendy no!” 

This, however, only served to peak Pacifica’s ever growing curiosity and with a Cheshire grin, she leans over, both hands supporting her chin in an innocent manner. “What’s that?” 

There’s a laughter that courses through Mabel as she leans over to Wendy, scrolling through her phone. ‘Wendy, babe, you’re literally the best! Hold on, I still have pictures of it somewhere.” 

“Why do you carry those around?’ He asks exasperated as he ran a hand through his hair, Pacifica rolled his eyes next to him but laughed softly. 

“For these special occasions, bro bro!” She grins maniacally as she shoves the phone towards Pacifica, showing toddler Dipper in all his glory in that stupid lamb costume. 

Pacifica cooes. Pacifica freaking cooes at it and laughs softly. “That’s adorable,” She says, leaning over and kissing Dipper on his flushed cheek. “Whoever thought you were a dancer.” She comments cheekily as Susan leaves their drinks on the table. 

The soft chime of her laughter and the sparkle in her eyes is enough for Dipper to swallow down his embarrassment and actually try to have a good time. She snakes her hand on his and it feels warm, reassuring, loving. 

Hey, maybe this wasn’t such a bad idea after all.

1. They are not each other’s first girl/girl experience, since Wendy tried to get distracted from Mabel at her first year of college dating around but it didn’t work. And Mabel had a crush here and there but hot diggity damn are they each other’s favorite <3

2. Wendy has an expanse of freckles that go down her chest that Mabel just adores. One of her favorite images in the entire world is Wendy laying down and her red hair all loose around her. And even when Wendy cuts it, she’s still the most gorgeous woman Mabel’s ever seen. 

3. Mabel is so much fuller than Wendy that it sometimes brings out a small insecurity in Mabel. Like, Wendy is tall and slim and Mabel is a bit shorter and rounder but Wendy adores her???? She legit doesn’t understand why Mabel compares them because she thinks Mabel is a goddess???? Look at her hips!!! Look at her thighs!!!! Look at her hair!!! WENDY LOVES HER SO MUCH!!!

4. They went camping out one time before they got together and Mabel was just red  in the face the entire time because no she is definitely not trying to sneak a glance at Wendy in her underwear thank you very much yes she was but shhhh

5. Wendy loves going down on Mabel and grab her by her legs because she just loves touching Mabel. And this way is one of the most intimate ways that she has her precious girlfriend!!! 

6. After they have sex most of the time, Mabel gets giggly and Wendy thinks its the most adorable thing on the planet and her heart melts. Every single time.

1. Mabel loves Wendy’s freckles. Every single one of them. She loves counting them, she loves running her fingertips across them, she loves kissing them, she would worship the freckles all across her if she could. 

2. Wendy often comforts Mabel when she gets panic attacks over Bill, running her hands down some scars that were left from all the moments they had have fought him and in general. There’s so much rage coursing through her when she sees Mabel slowly breaking down because how fucking dare that triangle asshole make someone as sweet and beautiful and perfect as Mabel???? But she’s learned to tone down that anger into something more comforting, since Mabel needs someone to confide in. 

3. Wendy gets a crush on Mabel first which turns into a problem. It’s the summer on the twins 15 going to 16 year and Wendy is about to go to her first year at college and she feels like a dirty old woman at first because come on, red. you basically watched her grow up. except that she hasn’t really? Wendy had to leave a couple of summers for some extended family so she missed some here and there but when she realizes it she feels a sense between guilt and elation??? Not that it shows, because Wendy is the coolest person ever. 

4. When Mabel gets a crush on Wendy it hits her like a freight train. It was slowly building without her even knowing until Wendy is hugging her goodbye the day before her birthday because Wendy has to go early to her first year of college and Mabel suddenly realizes that holy shit I miss her more than anything. They keep contact through skype/text/other internet methods and it isn’t until next summer where they kiss almost immediately as soon as they hug it’s like everything is back to normal. 

5. They’re both nervous wrecks over how Dipper is going to react. Because yeah, the dude is literally one of Wendy’s best friends in the world and Mabel loves him unconditionally but isn’t dating your brother’s ex crush or whatever kinda douchey???? Dipper, when finally told, just smiles and is legit happy for them. He loves them both very much and the only thing he wants for them is pure happiness. “You two are the coolest people I know. It’s kinda unfair to the rest of us, you know.” He jokes lightly, giving them his blessing (Even though he assures them that they don’t need it but still, it eases Mabel’s conscious.) 

6. Totes stealing your headcanon that they move into Gravity Falls together because oh my god yes I feel in love. I love it so much. Mabel is a designer with her own shop, Wendy works in the her family’s lumber shop as the main boss.
