So I’m sitting here watching Futurama and I saw and heard something that had be laughing. I’m on the episode where Bender gets hit by a were-car. After they’ve figured out that they need to kill the original were-car, they get to Calculon, who tell them that he was hit by the original were-car. He starts telling them about it and says
He got hit in 2019!!! Y’all. At the time, the episode was just bullshitting a year for laughs. Now that it’s actually 2019, I can’t stop thinking about it. I don’t know the exact date, but it’s hilarious that we are in the year where Calculon gets run over by the very evil car he was helping build. It gives off the same feeling of living in 2015 after watching Back to the Future Part 2!
