I'm not depressed, panicky, or suicidal. Just pissed off. Ashamed to be associated with some people. Dumbfounded and disappointed in others coy reactions to when called out on their bullshit. And I'm frustrated I let myself slack in both dancing and skating. I'm just gonna vibe to rock music today and do homework instead of putting it off until tomorrow. Might blade or practice later. I dunno. Tl;dr, mopeyfucker.org

She was hardly even sure how the chaos had ensued; it seemed like one second they were injecting the test subjects with mantis DNA, and the next second the scientists had completely lost control of the situation. She knew there were atleast a few minutes in there where everything seemed to be going successfully, but she couldn't quite pin point the moment when things started to go wrong. All she knew was that things had definitely gone wrong and that she wasn't going to be able to resolve the entire situation by herself.
She shoved open the door to her boss's office without even bothering to knock, something that was rare for her. But the creatures had already escaped from the testing room and she didn't have time to waste; it was clear by her disheveled hair and lack of breath that she had even ran to the office. "Sir, there's an emergency with the mantis men experiment."

It took all of her self control to not walk out of the building right then and there. She had been lucky enough to spot the ad in the classifieds; An ad advertising her dream job. Well...not exactly her dream job. Secretarial work wasn't exactly science. But it was still a job at Aperture, and it would still give her a chance to work for the man she admired the most. But no one was that lucky. Spotting a fortunate ad was one thing; actually getting the job was a completely different thing. There was no way that she would be hired out of the crowd of more qualified, more experienced, applicants. All she was going to do was embarrass herself.
But, before she could finalize her decision to leave, a voice interrupted her thoughts. "Miss Louis?" She cringed inwardly at the sound of her own last name. She hated it. It wasn't even hers, really; simply something picked by the nuns at the orphanage. Her mother had only left the name 'Caroline' behind, with no other information. But, despite her feelings towards it, she knew that the man in charge of directing the potential employees into the CEO's office was referring to her.
She took a deep breath as she stood up, trying to calm her nerves, and proceeded into the office.
