Here's Rachel's dream sequence in it's entirety.
Rachel was on stage, where she belonged, where she was born to be. The spotlight was shining down on her, her sold out audience waiting with baited breath, practically quivering with excitement in anticipation of hearing her voice. The rush she felt was incredible, there was no feeling in the world like it.
She opened her mouth to sing, to let that magnificent voice fly free. “Ow!”
The sharp pain in her leg made her jolt. She looked down.
There was Finn. Funny, for some reason she remembered him being taller.
“What are you doing?” she hissed at him, feeling her formerly adoring audience growing impatient.
Finn paused in his work, slinging his axe back to rest on his shoulder, and tipped back the brim of his bomber cap to look up at her. “I'm helping!”
“Well, stop it! I need to sing.”
Finn grinned dopily. “Hey, I can sing too!”
He hefted his axe back and resumed hacking away at Rachel's knees. “I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay,” he sang as he worked.
“You're ruining my performance!” Rachel shrieked, on the verge of tears. She looked up to see her audience walking out on her.
“No, wait!” she tried to call out but her voice was suddenly hoarse and powerless. “I can sing, I promise!”
But they were gone. Finn was gone. The spotlight was extinguished and Rachel was left alone in the dark.
“Hello? Is there anybody out there?”
The house lights came up just in time for Rachel to catch a flash of red and white out of the corner of her eye as it disappeared into the wings of the stage.
Rachel gave chase, struggling through the maze of heavy velvet curtains, until she stumbled out into the all too familiar hallway of her high school.
She stopped and gasped at the chaos that surrounded her. It was full tilt jungle madness set to a soundtrack of Duran Duran's 'Hungry Like The Wolf', which was playing over the PA system.
She stepped back as Jacob Ben Israel ran past shrieking, his jewfro completely aflame.
Down the hall, a terrified Artie was suspended above a dunk tank filled with what appeared to be cherry slushie. The baseball team lined up to take their shots.
Kevin Stackhouse, the star pitcher, took the first shot. He hit the target easily. Artie screamed as the seat underneath him gave way, plunging him into the freezing abyss. Artie's arms flailed as he struggled to keep his head from going under, his crippled legs a dead weight that were dragging him down.
“What's wrong with you!” Rachel yelled at the laughing gang of baseballers. “He's drowning!”
She was about to go help him when a scream echoed down the hallway. It was Santana, being savagely ripped limb from limb by a pack of Cheerios.
“Faire de la place, faire place!” Azimio's voice boomed from behind Rachel. “Bitch, I said make way.” He shoved Rachel against the lockers as he strode past, clutching a pair of leashes. Attached to the ends of the leads were Mercedes and Kurt, both dressed in burlap sacks -a look that not even Kurt managed to pull off-.
Azimio halted in front of a crowd of football players. He gave them a nod and stepped back, “Prêts...but...le feu!”
At his command, the jocks let loose, pelting Mercedes and Kurt with tater tots and rotten fruit. The duo cowered under the assault as the food hit them with a bruising force.
Rachel didn't know who to try and help first. Artie was no longer an option, his lifeless body was suspended at the bottom of the dunk tank. Santana was already missing an arm and her left leg appeared to be barely hanging on, only still to her body by a few strings on sinew. The scene was horrific.
Then Rachel saw her. Leaning against a bank of lockers, apathetically watching the chaos go down around her, was Quinn Fabray. Her short hair and the Cheerio uniform she was wearing created a strange but alluring combination of the Old and New Quinn.
“Quinn!” Rachel yelled, running toward the former head cheerleader. She skidded to a stop and latched onto the passive blonde's arm. “Quinn, we have to stop this.”
Quinn tilted her head towards Rachel, regarding her with dull hazel eyes. “I was a lion once, this was my kingdom.”
“What happened?” Rachel found herself asking.
“They took it from me,” Quinn said, nodding towards a nearby pack of braying hyenas in Cheerios uniforms.
“I can't. I lost my Pride.” Quinn's eyes flashed a brilliant molten gold. “Now I'm a wolf without a pack.”
“That's not true,” Rachel argued. Quinn wasn't alone. She wasn't. “You have the glee club.”
“Always on the outside looking in, keeping to the fringes and begging for scraps. That's no way for a lion to live.”
“I thought you were a wolf.”
Quinn smiled, showing off her pointed fangs. “Maybe I'm both.”
Rachel gasped as her arms were seized by two letterman jacket clad gorillas. “Quinn, help me,” she pleaded as they dragged her away.
Quinn turned her head and walked away, singing under her breath. “This used to be my playground, this used to be my childhood dream...”
“Let go of me, you filthy apes,” Rachel ordered as they dragged her through the hallways. Again she was ignored.
As they passed by Principal Figgins, Rachel shouted out for him to help her. “My hands are tied!” he said in response, holding up his hands to show off the silver shackles around his wrists.
Rachel rolled her eyes at the useless authority figure as they burst through the doors of the gymnasium.
“It's about time you got here,” Morgan Leonard drawled from where she resided atop her throne made of bones. “I've been waiting for you.”
The gorillas pushed Rachel forward, forcing her to kneel at Morgan's feet.
“Why are you doing this? It isn't right.”
Morgan's smile was positively diabolical. “Why am I doing this? Because I can. Because there's nobody to stop me.”
“Finn-” Rachel tried again.
“He won't.” Morgan laughed and uncrossed her legs, almost kicking Rachel in the face, and sat up straighter. “Haven't you figured it out yet? I'm the Queen of Hearts.”
“I suppose that makes me Alice.” It was her dream, so obviously Rachel was the main character, the heroine, the star. She was the one who would slay the evil queen and return peace to the kingdom of McKinley.
“No, silly,” Morgan purred. “You're the White Rabbit.”
Rachel heard the gym doors open behind her.
“Why here she is now. It's so nice of you to join us-”
