Nancy had headed out into the woods so that she could turn. She had kept the secret pretty well all things considering. She normally managed to come up with some reason of why she wouldn't be home for the night and her parents never questioned her. Which was perfect. Nancy had just gotten used to lying.
She stood in the middle of the woods, turning into her wolf form. A hazel coloured wolf, much like her hair colour even with some curls in places. She gave a few tippy tappies on the ground when she had transformed and set off running.

i dont know if you've read rebel robin, but theres this one part where robin finds nancy in the movie theater bathroom and shes really upset and she asks her whats wrong and stuff. and robin takes note on how it isnt a "steve related issue" and im gonna put that part in my fic because like.. i have reasons.
i literally love the werewolf!nancy idea so much because like she has a reason to be even more upset and i can write more nancy angst than i already have. this is like a great opportunity to work on different parts of writing , its like an experiment?

I haven't ever read Rebel Robin, but I know a bit about it (mainly that Robin and Barb used to be friends lol). That scene sounds very good and angsty.
I just love the idea of werewolf Nancy for many reasons. Idk how you're planning on doing the werewolfness, like if it's the more traditional full moon transformation or if its more like the teen wolf version lol, but for Nancy who likes to have control, it would be the perfect way to break her down, to be violent without her control over it.

Nancy—the wolf—jumps in front of her, in front of Billy. Hackles raised and growling, and for a moment, Billy hesitates.
It’s the first time Max has ever seen him hesitate when he’s gotten like this.
Nancy is bigger than he is, stronger than he is. One swipe and Max knows it would knock him unconscious. Max watches as Billy tries to put on a brave face, taking a step closer. Nancy lunges at him, and he quickly hits the ground, scrambling back and running away.
“Oh, that’s Garfield. Don’t mind him,” Robin says. The cat mews in response.
Max shoots a look between Robin, the tiny orange kitten, and the giant slumbering werewolf it’s sitting on top of. The cat begins purring, snuggling further into chestnut brown fur. Nancy huffs.
“Please don’t tell me the cat is Nancy’s.”
Robin nods. “Nancy picked him up after she shifted for the first time. They’ve been like, inseparable since.”

“Jesus, doesn’t that hurt?” Robin asks after Nancy rips another wax strip
“Yeah, but I’ve got to keep it a secret somehow, and this is one of the few things that’s working,” Nancy sighs, crumbling the wax strip and throwing it in the small trash can in the corner of her room. Robin stays on the bed, legs swinging, watching as Nancy places another strip on her legs.
“You know, you don’t have to do that.”
Another rip!
Robin continues, shrugging. “It’s just hair. I don’t shave my legs, either.”
