just wondering, how do vegans feel about service dogs and police dogs? because like after all it is against there will because they cant really consent.. isnt it kind of like slavery...?

That would depend entirely on how they’re treated and trained, there are a lot of factors to take into consideration. Animal exploitation will never be ok, people are afraid of dogs eating chocolate, but they’re are not afraid of police dogs who actually smells cocaine and another bad substances. As you said before many of them are “service dogs”, they’re being used. In the other hand, I know that many of them are loved and cared such as the case of guidance dogs (as usual there are exceptions), but in the end is only for human benefit first.

hi, im going to lifeguard this summer and my shifts are really long (like nine hours ) so i have to pack food for the whole day. what are some filling vegan foods and snacks i can bring that wont get yucky when they sit? 💕

I always pack an apple, grapes and carrots are usually what I eat in one snack! Try maybe with more fruits, more varied, add bananas, a mango, maybe some dates. You can also prepare yourself a good smoothie or juice. I make a raw snack by adding to a food processor dates, nuts, dehydrated fruits, that will make like a paste, make some bites and roll them out in shredded coconut. That has protein, good fats, that gives you energy. Peanut butter sandwich, protein bars! Here are some more ideas!

ok so im vegetarian and i try to avoid dairy and eggs as much as possible (when i move out i plan to cut them out completely) but i found out that sometimes my mom cooks meat with the vegetables we have for dinner.. and as a result some of the oils and stuff get into the food i eat. does that mean that those meals arent vegetarian?i tried to tell her not to because it made me uncomfortable when i found out she was doing that, but she got mad :/ what do? my family has been supportive besides this

Technically yes, it is called Cross-contamination. It is quite unrespectful that your mom do that behind your back, and can be a bit dangerous if you’re truly vegetarian, meaning you have a lot of time since you don’t eat animal products, since it can affect your digestion.

As I said earlier, we have to respect our parents of course, but they have to respect us as well. I understand that for many parents is more likely concerns than just force their sons and daughters to eat meat. Ask them why they don’t want to support you?
