BEHOLD THE WES THROUGH TIME HEADCANONS YEAH. I’m pretty sure the read more link isn’t gonna work bUT YEAH HEADCANONS WHAT.
1904:Just came to America. Very freckled, hair hasn’t been cut in a long time, and he’s wearing one of his father’s shirts because his got ruined before he left France. Scared, hungry, thought coming to America would help him get money for his father. Realized it was a big mistake, goes months without a place to live and is desperate for food. Ends up digging in circus trash for scraps, is found, is adopted by circus. Becomes fast friends with Wolfgang and becomes extremely attached to Charlie, even viewing her as a mother figure. William and Wes start out close but quickly grow apart the more he becomes Maxwell. By the time he ‘dies’ Wes and William resent each other heavily. Starts miming on stage at about the age of 8. After Charlie’s ‘death’ he’s forced to leave the circus to live with a foster family in New Orleans. Lives with a French family, keeps the accent because of it. Comes back to circus around age 16.
1918:Year Wes was brought to Maxwell’s world. Some freckles, usually none. Manipulative, easily reads people, can shift emotions on a dime, extremely good at changing himself to fit a situation and get what he wants. 9\10 times if you have something he wants you’ll either end up giving it to him or he’ll lift it off of you while you’re not paying attention. Nothing is off limits when it comes to persuasion, sex and physical contact are frequently used. Smokes like a chimney, flirts often, drinks for the heck of it, has many meaningless flings. Commits multiple small thefts almost weekly, sweet-talks his way out of jail and heavy punishment. Very broken on the inside from multiple failures and Charlie’s ‘death’, has a generally bad attitude because of it. However, towards certain few people, Wes is nothing but kind, positive and gentle.
1921:Wilson arrives on the island, Wes is freed from Adventure Mode after being trapped inside for roughly three years. Face is significantly lighter than it should be due to having a full face of makeup for a long time. Face is thinner from years of malnourishment. Anxiety and high amounts of stress from being alone and surrounded by Them have caused a large personality shift. The manual removal of memories (by Them) has also contributed to a change in his personality, he mostly can’t remember his former self but he generally prefers not to think about who he used to be. Silent, gentle, and mostly kind, his worst qualities have been blocked off by Them to make Wes behave more like They believe mimes should. However, the missing memories often cause Wes to have frequent identity crises. The longer he’s alive the more he remembers about himself. He dies often so more often than not Wes can’t remember much of anything about life before Maxwell’s world. Nightmares come often, panic attacks are common when he’s under stress.
