“I came to the manor expecting to get some kind of answer to some weird dreams I had the week after my grandfather died. Felt like something was pulling me back to the manor, and despite Theo telling me not to- I had to go. I should have listened to him, really, but we’re both stuck here now. And it’s my fault.”

Wesley is possibly one of the more dimwitted ghosts you will ever meet. He knows nothing, really, about the manor other than the fact it took his grandfather’s life. The night he came to the manor he was met by Toni. While Wesley didn’t realize this, Toni had clocked him earlier that day chatting with some of the construction crew, and he was intrigued. They spent the night talking about the manor, and the renovations process. Wesley even said he would help considering his grandfather taught him everything he knew.
But he wasn’t alone that night. His best friend, Theo, came to the manor as well. Theo tried and tried to reason with Wes, telling him not to go to the manor to just grieve his grandfather but he couldn’t break Wesley’s train of thought. So if he couldn’t beat him, he was going to join him. And as the time grew closer to midnight, Theo wanted to head out - go home and just try again tomorrow. Toni, though, insisted the boys stayed to celebrate because his birthday was soon and his plans fell through.
Theo left, and Wesley remained. Wanting to talk to Toni, hoping maybe he’d figure out something, anything about this fucked up place and the dreams he was having. But the more they drank, and the longer they talked, the deeper they got. Wesley opened up to Toni in a drunken whirlwind about how his grandfather was the only parental figure he had, and the two bonded over the loss of a guardian because Toni understood as well. They talked until the sun rose, the two sat in the kitchen watching as the light hit the house just right. Filling it with warm hues. But staying up so late, and drinking so much, made Wesley a tired boy.
So in one of the guest rooms he slept. And slept. And slept until his phone started to go off at 5 PM. Theo was calling, trying to figure out where he was. And while he sleepily told his friend he was fine and still at the manor, he realized he was completely alone. He could finally look around. While looking through plans for the manor laid out on the kitchen island, the basement door flew open. And of course, he had to go down.
Heading into the basement he found a couple of things, a weird bedroom with children’s toys along with all of the furniture that seemingly used to reside in the home now collecting dust. Poking through the odds and ends he found himself walking down an aisle of old paintings and photographs of the Crenshaws, and mixed in with everything was a tape recorder and a box of tapes.
Playing the recordings, he thought the tapes were destroyed. So old and full of dust they couldn’t even play the recording -- once again, not the brightest crayon in the box -- because these tapes held the ritual that the Crenshaws preformed, summoning the shadow and holding it’s true name and identity. But as he started to play the second tape, he heard Toni calling his name. Shoving the tapes in his pockets he raced upstairs and pretended to be getting something out of the fridge, truly milking the “hangover” he was experiencing from the night before.

The next time he opens his eyes, he’s met with Imogen kneeling beside him with a faint, welcoming smile. It’s then she explains his death in a way that weirdly calms him. What happened next, though, caused his entire ghostly world to spiral. His grandfather’s ghost was still in the manor, just as he thought, and he looked just as disappointed as his dreams.
Apparently, he was warning him to stay away from the manor, not come to it, who would have thought? pipe down theo. But after a lengthy fight, the shadow released his grandfather’s spirit for wesley’s. At least, that’s how it appeared to Wes. But he never made a promise he wouldn’t irritate the hell out of the shadow any chance he got. Often complaining about how his body has not been laid to rest. But a big reason he tries to taunt the demon, and continues to get thrown through his loop while others only experience theirs once a month is because he’s trying to keep it distracted from the guests of the manor, and his friends.
