blvirambrosio:
she couldn’t sleep for about the fifth day in a row. it was hard to find enough peace, enough comfort, in the string of light she had hanging around her room, part of her felt like a hand would just reach out and grab it, yanking them down and leaving her in complete darkness one day. so grabbing a sweater and pulling it on, she went outside, hoping maybe to catch a glimpse of the stars through the light given off by the manor. a voice broke her from her thoughts, blair looking up and finding a face she was actually quite fond of. “i try to avoid high places, heights aren’t really my thing.”
a half smile came onto his lips as he heard the familiar voice. he had seen everyone around the house but the blonde was nice to him when he was mean last month. he didn’t deserve that. he didn’t deserve much of anything. maybe being dead, at least. he felt the mood of the manor shift after the last burial. maybe they were all finally realizing that there was no way to leave. he was sure they’d find that out or already have. his head nodded after she finished speaking, glancing back to the cliffs. “you don’t have to go to the top of the cliffs to appreciate it. sometimes just standing here makes you appreciate the small things in life.” his head shook briefly. he enjoyed the cliffs but not as much as some of his fellow ghosts. “what is your thing?”
