I made a lot of sawdust today fitting these brand spankin' new custom keys to the original keyframe of the #westcoast71SSL I am rather pleased with how this project has thus far turned out. Because of the new optic system installed on the Sacred Laguna, "The Cut" was well executed and as a result the sanding went by quickly and with acceptable results. It was also my first chance to use my new industrial belt/disc sander which did a great job, but I need to reconfigure the dust collection for it. Anyway, all the really hard stuff is done on this keyset but I still have a few days of work left to do. I still need to mount the hardware and make them look pretty before shipping the beast back to Hollywood. Either way I'll be designing my next project over the weekend. While the glue cures on the keytops of the #1911RitzSteinway I decided to pull out the next project.
