I finally finished my paper!

I worked on it alllllll day today literally until I had to leave to go to class. It was not my best work. But that’s what happens when you keep putting things off. Meh. It wasn’t awful, just not as good as I wanted.

But I’m happy to be done! All I have left is an exam on Thursday. And I found out I got an A on my last exam, so I’m sitting pretty for Thursday :)

I also may have watched Boston while I was working today. It was SO good and so awesome to watch! Everyone kicked ass I am super proud of everyone that ran today!!!! :)

Some days you fight your brain to run. Then you go. And it tells you to stop. To rest. To walk. And you start thinking of what this day will be in history. Forever a day that shook our way of dealing with our feelings. A day that so many of our friends and members in our running community were changed. And you start changing your focus from hating your run to running for those who cant, Or who had that victory of owning those training runs stolen from them. My mind silenced as every footstep became a step for runners of the Boston marathon. Huge thanks for Michelle for being so honest about what this day means to her. ..because had I not read her post today I might not have forced myself to go...

Just 2 short races left for 2013

In 9 days, Thanksgiving morning, a 4.2 mile Cross Country Race, Chase the Turkey in Falmouth, Westcoastrunner found it for me. It should be interesting, I have never run a cross country race before, more of a wide trail race. I know the park it is set in It should be an interesting morning.

 Then in 25 days, on long Island in Stony Brook, a local 5K. It will be small so should be interesting, seems like it attracts the local fast "old" guys ;-) I as my sister who did her first 5k this past weekend was she up for it, she responded with "it looks hilly" I will drive the course this weekend while i am out there just to see "how hilly" It will be a good end to 2013, although I wanted to finish with the Ted Corbitt 15k in Central Park, Its my weekend to take care of my mom (alzheimer's) at least I found a saturday morning race!
