What if instead of Westfinder and Wayfinder, we had Westflounder and Wayflounder?
Then we could just, be fish, a lot. Or maybe eat fish a lot? I am fine with either option, although I would rather be a snake.

1. First impression: i don’t rly remember, but it was definitely a positive one2. Truth is: u’re super cool and u write hella awesome wsf games3. How old do you look: idk, like twenties? i basically assume that everyone at wsf is like 19-25 or so, unless they’re one of the kids4. Have you ever made me laugh: many times5. Have you ever made me mad: not that i can think of6. Best feature: ur ability to get stuff done when working on games7. Have I ever had a crush on you: idk8. You’re my: westie who makes wsf super fun (also who wrote my second wsf game)9. Name in my phone: eve irwin
Hi?
1. First impression: i forget exactly what/when it was, but it pro’ly went along the lines of, ‘wow that person is rly pretty and they do westfinder so they must be cool also they seem to have a bit of a russian accent sometimes’2. Truth is: u’re rly cool but u’re at college or something in southern california so u don’t come to wsf v. often which is too bad because u’re rly cool and also a dragon3. How old do you look: uhh, twenties?4. Have you ever made me laugh: maybe? pro’ly, but it’s been a while since the last time i saw u5. Have you ever made me mad: i doubt it6. Best feature: a lot.7. Have I ever had a crush on you: pro’ly a little bit8. You’re my: uh, westie who i haven’t seen in a while9. Name in my phone: i don’t have u in my phone
workin' on my westfinder game submission instead of homework
Some person pointed you out to me because you're apparently involved in Westfinders? Mind telling me a bit about that? /I swear I'm not a stalker
No worries! As it happens I'm actually Westfinder's co-founder, and am thus a fairly good source of info on it. :P
Basically Westfinder is a live action roleplaying group that comes at it from the side of improv theater. The games we play are closer to long-form improv than D&D in the woods... but there's plenty of that too!
We run Capture the Flag (with swords!) twice a month on Sundays in Codornices Park in Berkeley, and once a month we run a full Adventure Game, usually in Tilden. An Adventure Game includes a full day of swordfighting workshops, improv theater classes, and developing a character. The game itself runs for the last hour or two of the day, and is a fully-immersive experience where you get to be the hero (or villain!) of your own epic saga. It's pretty dang sweet!
The community is also one of the most delightful groups of dorks you'll find around--full of cuddles and shenanigans and Doctor Who parties and so on.
So if that sounds like your cup of tea, and you're anywhere near Berkeley, shoot an email to [email protected] to join the mailing list and we'll tell you about our upcoming events!
