"Don’t let your mind wander, it's too small to be let out on its own." - Obviously said sarcastically, from a doorway he's leaning on, after coming back from a long stint at home.

“Hmm?” Sophie had been trying to concentrate as she watched a youtube video on how to make ‘the perfect chocolate chip cookie’. She wasn’t sure how perfect they were gonna be with her baking them, but they looked delicious and it was better to try to make them then watch two hours worth of kitten videos.

She almost didn’t register the voice, but when she did she looked up grinning, moving away from behind the counter to greet him. “Hey stranger. I almost thought you were comin’ back.”

"That is what forgiveness sounds like. Screaming and then silence."

Sophie doesn’t say anything for a while. She was being stubborn, staring at the ground not responded. She shrugged her shoulders lightly, figuring he was right.

“I guess that’s what it sounds like.”

"What the fuck are you DOING?!" Scott's pissed off, because... fuck. Sophie could have been badly hurt, or killed! "Jesus wept, woman... Are you stupid?!"

“Don’t yell at me!” Sophie said, already shaken. She understood that it was stupid to get in the middle of the fight, and she really, really tried not too but her instincts took over. She was lucky that Scott showed up, she knew that,  but she could feel where the asshole who started it hit her throb and she was upset and she just wanted to get out of there without feeling like an idiot.

“I get it. I screwed up. Can we just get out of here.”

Sophie raised an eyebrow before shaking her head. “I think you might have had enough.”

It was nice to hear the words, Sophie couldn’t deny that, but Scott was drunker than a skunk and she knew better than to bring it up later when he was sober. She was supposed to be the designated driver, but know she really wanted a shot.

“Come on, let’s get you some coffee or somethin’.”

Stifiling a yawn with the back of his hand, he gives Rat an amused look. “Dinna worry too much about it. And if you need more shit to call him… I reckon I can think’o some.” He remarks, grabbing his kutte from the back of the chair he hung it on.

Awkwardly trying to decide which pockets to shove his hands into -- the ones in the jacket under his kutte or in his jeans -- Ratboy mumbled something that might have been, "Thanks." As a prospect, the best thing to do is speak as little as possible and only when necessary. One of these days, he'd be able to show off his own wit anyway.
