Westing release new song “Skipping Beats”
If you dig post-hardcore with passionate vocals, check out Westing’s new song “Skipping Beats” here. Although originally a solo acoustic project by Matt Mascarenas (of Reviver, Daytrader, and Heartless Breakers), Westing has since evolved into a full band. About the song, Mascarenas says, "I was focused on what I couldn't change and it weighed me down. I needed to let everything fall apart. I needed to start over. This song is about letting go of past failures and moving on.”
“Skipping Beats” is released in anticipation of a brand new EP I Haven’t Been Feeling Myself. The EP was recorded during the fall of 2016 with Gary Cioni (also of Daytrader) and Brett Romnes (of I Am The Avalanche) at Barber Shop Studios in Hopatcong, N.J. I Haven’t Been Feeling Myself is set to release on April 14 and you can pick it up on BandCamp here.
