Wet burritos are a hearty and satisfying meal made with seasoned ground beef, vegetables, and refried beans rolled up in flour tortillas, covered in enchilada sauce, and baked until golden brown. They're a great way to enjoy a taste of Grand Rapids and will make your home smell like your favorite Mexican restaurant.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1 onion, diced. 1 bell pepper, diced. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 can refried beans. 1 can enchilada sauce. 1 cup shredded cheese. 4 large flour tortillas. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 190C 375F. Get some onion, bell pepper, garlic, and ground beef in a pan. Cook them together until the beef is browned and the vegetables are soft. Add half of the enchilada sauce and the refried beans and mix them in. Put an equal amount of the beef mixture on each tortilla, then roll them up and put them in a baking dish seam-side down. Cover the burritos with the rest of the enchilada sauce and top them with shredded cheese. If the cheese isn't melted, it will bubble up after 20 to 25 minutes. If you want, you can serve it hot with diced tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, and sliced olives on top.
