Aremy
Jeremy swung his legs, perched on the edge of the building. He smiled, listened to some music that had sentimental value, took a swig of beer. Raising his hand, he played with the slight frayed ends on his red baseball cap. It was a miracle he'd never lost it, considering how easily he lost everything else. Eye of the Tiger came on and Jeremy chuckled, then took another swig of beer. This was the song his dad played on Jeremy's first day of school. Jeremy thought about his dad pretty often, and it probably wasn't good. He had died when Jeremy was just old enough to remember him, and every time one of those half remembered scenes flickered across his mind's eye, Jeremy wished it was his mom instead. It was sheer misfortune that Charles was picking Jeremy up that day, as it was usually Kim who did things like that. Another sip from the bottle turned off that train of thought. It wasn't even a train of thought, it was the track. It was the same damn progression of thoughts back and forth going from point A to point B and back again every single time and Jeremy was really fucking tired of it. He was so fucking tired of it that he wanted to strap himself to that exact track and wait for that exact train to run him over. And what would this be? Sheer misfortune. Just like every-fucking-thing else. He typed the number into his phone, just for laughs. "Hello, you've reached the suicide hotline."

"Hey, Scotty. I feel like I haven't seen you in forever. How are you?"
"Ah'm fine." He shrugs. "Life goes on, y'know how it is. It has been a while since we've seen each other, though."
