Team #SaveDaredevil
I can't believe it's already been a year since the cancellation. Uff. Thinking about it now it's still painful memory. @daredevil season 3 is a master piece. It moved my heart and brought me back to drawing and writing. In that sense I owe this show a lot.
To this day it still makes me mad to think that it was cancelled after such a brilliant season. If you want an example of unfairness in entertainment then this is it. Daredevil, the team and the cast behind it, deserved better than an impromptu cancellation fueled by petty corporate politics.
There's a new rumor about Daredevil, every other week. A whole year after the cancellation people are still upset and asking to #SaveDaredevil. We know they're listening by now. We've seen it with people like Marvel's Executive Vicepresidente Joe Quesada attending the #SaveDarevil Meet-up.
But if there's anyone at #Disney, @marvelentertainment, @hulu that still needs to be convinced, then hear our voices. We're the #FandomWithoutFear, we're here to #SaveDaredevil, and we aren't going anywhere until it's done.
Happy Cancellation Anniversary!

Save Daredevil
Everything is a blurr. There are different voices, some of them sound more like murmurs from further away... Maybe from a strange dream. "Dare-de-vil, Dare-de-vil, Dare-de-vil..." "I think he's waking up..." "Then, maybe stand back a bit, in case he lashes out or something." Everything hurts. And burns... What the hell is going on? Why is he in a car? Someone is patching him up, but it's not Claire or Maggie. It's someone he doesn't recognise. Wait. Is this an ambulance?! There's a syringe! Matt sits up quickly, putting distance between him and that needle, which makes his head spin and two heartbeats quicken at his sudden action. "No... no hospitals...! No pain killers!" There seem to be two paramedics with him. Both are holding up their arms in case he attacks. He's not so sure he could (he can't even get up yet...), but maybe it's good that they don't seem to know that. One of them puts down the object of offense that was threatening to mess even more with his senses. "Don't worry. We switched the siren off and we can stop anywhere you want to go. I just want to make sure you'll be fine." The woman tries to use a calming voice, but he can tell that she's nervous. "Dare-de-vil, Dare-de-vil, Dare-de-vil..." "I'll survive." He might. Is that chanting in his head? That is a bit worrisome. He stands up, leaning against the stretcher, but his legs are still shaking and they hurt like hell, it feels as if they were seriously burned. Shit. "Um... you can barely stand on your feet." The young man also notices. He has two functioning eyes it seems. Good for him. Matt remembers a fire. The smoke and.... Oh shit. He took off his mask to not breathe in too much of it... But checking with his hand his eyes are somehow covered. "The fireman who got you out of that building put the mask back on. Nobody else saw your face." Truth. Okay, that was... considerate. And apparently all these people are obviously helping him, too. Which immediately makes him feel guilty. "Won't you get in trouble for this...?" The woman answers: "We'll say you threatened us and ran away." Great... He'll just ask them to drop him off near Foggy's place maybe. "Dare-de-vil, Dare-de-vil, Dare-de-vil..." Okay, that choir in his head isn't fading, not even a bit. It's actually starting to creep Matt out. "Um... do you also hear those voices, calling me...?" "Oh... it's that radio host." The boy sounds real excited about that. "She got the entire city cheering for you. It's been like that for fifteen minutes now, with continuous updates on the fire." Who... what? Matt then really starts to focus on that sound that he was trying to push away before, thinking he must be imagining it. For a moment he just listens to all the voices from different radio devices around the city and some others joining them. A lot of them also following the news on TV. So many... so many people hearing it at full volume or yelling for him to get out. No... urging him on. His city. Telling him to get up. The thought almost makes him faint again and his knees buckle under him without a warning, but the young paramedic is there to catch him. "Why?" Why would anyone bother with this? Why would these people help him? Sharing a look with his colleague the boy stutters: "Because... you protect us?" "She said you needed our help." The woman then shuffles awkwardly. "I've taken some of your victims to the hospital and... yeah, it's not pretty, I guess. But the people you saved, they usually don't care. They usually sing your praises. So, this really shouldn't surprise anyone..." Oh, but it does. It surprises him. "Dare-de-vil, Dare-de-vil, Dare-de-vil..." Matt can feel a smile tug at the corner of his mouth. He must have done something right. Apparently the Fandom without Fear hasn't given up on seeing more seasons of Daredevil and I don't want to rain on their parade. And why not hope a little? So this is a rewrite of a scene from a fic I did and I thought it seemed fitting. :)
