Weyoun Deaths Ranked

@deepspaceslime I blame you entirely. This list will start from worst to best and is entirly my opinion.

Number 6 - Weyoun 5

this is the worst Weyoun death, purely because we dont see it happen. Weyoun 5 was an excellent Vorta and the little snot deserved more than a tag line. Atleast that got us Weyoun 6. Speaking of which...

Number 5 - Weyoun 6

This is worst for a totally different reason, because this is the Weyoun that deserved to live. its a beautiful death that if id spent more time determinig criteria would probably be up there at number one. But it makes me sad so its back here.

Number 4 - Weyoun 10

Not part of the actual DS9 series, but this is still a Weyoun being played by our beloved Jeffrey Combs soooo, im gonna count it. Theres plenty of story that gets you sorta invested in this little shit, just for him to be exactly who he is and attempt to kill you. He takes a shot to the face after trying to order a jem'hadar to kill you. Ah the arrogance of th Weyouns...

Number 3 - Weyoun 8

He def had it coming, the snarky little shit, and i did expect it. But imo was over too quickly. Best part other than the sense of justice served would be that Garak got to kill him. Love you, Garak, Sorry about your planet.

Number 2 - Weyoun 4

Probably not the one that you expected to make it to runner up for best death. But this is the first one, the first time, it sets the standard in a way doesnt it? Also it tickles me how excited Jeffrey Combs was to be killed by Linc lrom Mod Squad. And i didnt actuall expect him to die like that, cause he was such a likable little dude. I was very happy when he came back.

Number 1 - Weyoun 7

What can i say, it was quick, unexpected and hilarious. And well Deserved. Weyoun 7 was imo the creepiest of the Weyouns. I mean arent we all Damar at this point. And its not like he wasnt going to come back, its ok to laugh at him.

My unpopular opinion about this character: i honestly cant think of one? Its not really unpopular but weyoun 6 shouldnt have died.

One thing i wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I WANT TO SEE WEYOUN 1, 2, 3 AND 9. like bitch. I know we see 10 in Star Trek Online. But stilllllllllllll

The opinion of the Victory is Life story that no one asked for:

(Mostly spoiler-free? Kind of?)

I want to start this by saying that I'm grateful to Cryptic for the trip down memory lane. It's awesome that they've been able to bring so much of the original talent back for this project, especially to a free to play title.

That being said...it's important to remember that the writing here is intended simply to set up scenarios and set up action sequences. The consequence of this is that the stories and characterizations end up being wonky and weak. Characters do things that are directly contradictory to their personality--or logic in general. Dominion characters have loyalties more flexible than Gumby and the story fails to address the catastrophic moral quandary of conflict between Founders and how their servants should handle that by sidestepping it entirely. Dukan'Rex and Loriss, I am looking at you two. Odo, don't even get me started. Weyoun's the only one with a solid belief system and it's played in a negative light consistently. At least he gives a shit about the Female Founder, which is a damn sight more authentic than anyone else in the story manages to be. He's the only one that seems to notice that there's a declaration that Odo's made through his actions. Dukan'Rex and Loriss don't have to acknowledge this at all and happily brand Weyoun a traitor, even though Odo's actively destabilizing the Dominion position and acting against the interests of the Dominion--which should generate some internal resistance, don't you think? Honestly, from a story standpoint, was most of it really necessary at all? Probably not. Considering what Odo knows and when he knew it, dragging it out the way he did comes off as unnecessary.

It's functional enough to be an action scenario set up, but it's a story written by a different kind of fan than I for sure: the kind of fan that has a much greater interest in the action and warfare aspects of the series than I do. If you're really invested in the depth of the characters and looking to use this as a way to rexonnect with them after the end of the series, I think you'll probably be a little disappointed.

Granted, it does have some interesting worldbuilding aspects to it and some interesting things to ponder about, but I wouldn't look onto this as a continuation of canon. Merely something to note and enjoy for the cameo that it is.
