Don't give up on writing! You're not writing for them - you have to write for you! I've loved all of your stuff, maybe it's not the right audience the editor is looking for and your time will come soon. If they're simplifying stuff then they clearly don't know the modern audience - I hate being treated like a simpleton in writing. Shake it off and keep moving. It will come!
Thanks hon. I wish it were that simple but the first thing you are told at any of these writing seminars is that this is a business first. You must write for your audience. That’s what I’m trying to learn. Just because you have a good idea doesn’t mean you can write it the way people want to consume it. I learned that on tumblr and from a lot of fic comments I’ve gotten. You can write your heart out and people just won’t get it. Thank you for being so supportive!
