i like how that issue showed scott being a martinet but didn’t just - throw it out there with no context (bc that kind of thing seems to have been happening a lot lately with the way people are writing him). there was an actual effort made to point out that he’s not logan, he’s not invulnerable, he’s seen people die and felt responsible - and that’s why he takes this shit so seriously, especially when he has an inexperienced child following him around. if he had better social skills it would probably come off less abrasive, but this is what he knows. he’s not that great with personal interaction, but he is good at surviving and he is good (whatever he may think) at keeping people alive. and it’s so refreshing to see all of that dealt with without demonizing scott for breathing.
