i have so many problems with this !!!!

1. ) kara has already stated on MULTIPLE occasions that she chose earth over everything else and would make the same choice again if she could. during the black mercy episode, kara is literally put in her own mind where she’s back on krypton. she chooses to return from her dream - like state where she was happily reunited with her family to be with her earth family. she chooses to return because she knew earth needed her and earth was in crisis without her to protect it. they were in the middle of a battle way less important than this with reign. yes non and astra could’ve taken over earth, but reign is planning to destroy it. kara chose to return to her body to protect those she loves and the planet she loves.

2. ) kara wouldn’t leave earth unprotected at a time like this. she knew the clock was ticking when she left with mon - el and this was a time sensitive mission. there’s no way in hell kara would dick around and prioritize her own personal happiness over the fate of earth. she knew reign was getting stronger when she left and lena would only be able to hold her for so long before they needed to either kill sam / reign or save her. kara wouldn’t put sam’s life in jeopardy like that, and definitely not the fate of the planet like that.

3. ) kara worked so hard to make a life for herself on earth, why would she just abandon it ? she chose to put effort into making her life on earth. yes, she never truly felt like she belonged, but she did her absolute best. yes, she didn’t like always wearing the name danvers as a disguise to cover up zor - el, but being supergirl helped her with that identity issue. from her first few years on earth, kara worked relentlessly to learn the language, fit in, learn everything she could about being human and being kara dan*vers. as an adult, she worked tirelessly to get her foot in the door in more than one job and work her way up to a place where she was happiest. being both a reporter and supergirl is her pride and joy and i don’t care what the writers say. that scene where kara talks about the first time she truly felt human with her kitty absolutely brought me to tears ---- you can’t tell me she didn’t choose to be human or choose her life on earth after seeing that.

4. ) she knows being supergirl helps people. the people of earth need her far more than the people of argo city do. her powers helped people on earth --- she helped keep them safe from more than just the common criminals. she wards off alien invaders who threaten the safety of the planet she came to call home. in argo city, she’s the face of a legacy, yes, but she’s more than that on earth. her legacy can be put into action --- she uses her powers to give people hope in so much more than her. need proof ? i gotchu. in argo city, she has no powers. she has no one to help. you can’t tell me with a straight face that kara would choose sitting back and relaxing with her family over saving and helping people who need it, especially on earth.

5. ) kara z*or - el was sent to earth to protect kal, and now she’s suddenly more than willing to leave him on earth ? no. nope.

6. ) kara wouldn’t put her own well - being and happiness over the safety of the people of earth. it doesn’t matter that this is her mother offering her a home with her people. she would never leave earth unguarded at a time like this, even if it was protected by superm*an and mart*ian man - hunter. kara z*or - el was raised to think of others before herself, and kara d*anvers was taught the same damn thing. you can’t tell me she’s willing to choose the remainders of her planet over the place she made a home with a family and friends.

this isn’t even half of my thoughts about this new development, but if cw goes through with this --- which i doubt they will --- ya girl is going canon - divergent. my blood pressure can’t handle this injustice. me @ cw supergirl writers: square up.
