The broken Phoenix
Prompt number five for #WH40ktober: Broken
Of course I chose Fulgrim.
Have you drawn any space marines interacting with humans?
Well, I don't think I have!
But today the prompt for WH40ktober is "grafitti" and I think this interaction could be very fruitful.
So much learning experience!
Two versions of the WH40ktober-prompt "glow".
I like Word Bearers-Possessed. So I drew one of them. His demon half is either a Slaaneshi or Tzeentchean splinter, so he's rather elegant and beautiful.
There are quite a few Chaos Space Marines in the novbels with asymmetrical horns or just one horn. I wanted to try how this looks. I quite like it.
Prompt 11 of WH40ktober: Risk.
Saul is taking a very big risk with the unsuspecting Lucius.
Do you want to lose a limb, Saul? 'Cause that's how you lose a limb!
Day 7 of WH40ktober-prompts: Meal
I really like crows. And I like Chaos Raptors, especially the Dumb Birds™, a.k.a. the Rypax, a very slaaneshi Raptor-cult infesting Lucius' ship. (They are very useful, but not the brightest bulbs on the tree)
Crows around here are picking walnuts from trees and place them on the street for people, bikes, cars to run over, thus opening them for the crows to get their meal.
Since Rypax may be not very got at opening protein rations, in my HC they are placing them in the corridors of the ship for their brothers to open and then drop from the rafters to collect their bounty.
My HC tend to lack respect for the grim darkness of the far future.
The 10th prompt for WH40ktober: Change
I really like Word Bearers Possessed!
So here's one changing into his demon form.
Another WH40ktober-prompt: Forgive
When you're with Lucius, you have a lot to forgive. And it's not even that he does it on purpose - most of the idiotic things he does don't happen out of malice, but because, firstly, he doesn't think for five cents and, secondly, he doesn't really sees himself as a team player. He does things - the rest of the world has to deal with it. Saul, fortunately, has enough patience and composure to just let Lucius run off and factor the heroic shenanigans into his overall strategy. For Saul is a clever tactician and thinks creatively and unusually in strategic situations. So a chaos factor like Lucius doesn't fit in so badly with him!
Before Laer, of course ....
Day 12 of WH40ktober gave me: Precious!
So here's Vispyrtilo stealing another one of Lucius' horrible, horrible shirts. Waeving it into his current nest high in the rafters of the Cohors Nasicae's Strike Cruiser, to feast on the touch of Slaanesh all over the ugly beautiful shirt.
A few days later another of the Rypax-flock will steal it from him, too. One of the usual feuds amongst the Dumb Birds™ will erupt and cease as fast as it began.
Chaos Raptors are such useful warriors, but their brain is so, so small.
