Matching week is now over, and assignments have been sent out! To see your assignment, go to your AO3 dashboard, and scroll down to the 'Assignments' tab on the left hand sidebar. If you cannot see an assignment, and think you should, contact the mods in the discord server.
You have until the posting deadline, which is on Sunday August 23, 10:00 GMT, to create and post your work to the AO3 collection. Remember to gift your work to your recipient, and fulfill the assignment.
Your gift must fulfill the basic requirements of the exchange in order to be an adequate gift. For writers, this is a 1k word piece, and for artists, this is 1 drawing, created to a standard you would normally post as “finished”.
You must also adhere to your giftee's DNWs, and request tags. Your gift must focus on at least one relationship/solo character tag from your giftee's request. Failure to adhere to the request will disqualify your gift, and may be grounds for removal from the event.
Do not share details about your work here or on any social media platforms until after creator reveals, which are on Sunday August 30, 10:00 GMT. If you need to ask your recipient a question—e.g. a DNW clarification—open a ticket with the mods, and we will pass your question on anonymously.
We will be holding a check in via google form from Thursday August 6, 00:00 GMT to Monday August 10, 00:00 GMT. This check in is simply to ensure you're able to finish your gift on time. Failure to complete the check in will result in your assignment being sent to pinch hits, and you dropping from the exchange.
If you want a beta reader/artist, you are allowed to contact a regular beta outside the event, or to contact the mods, who will send an anonymous post in the discord server. If your request is picked up, we will put you and the beta in contact. To claim a beta request, open a ticket with the mods in the discord server.
Dropping from the exchange/defaulting
If you need to drop for whatever reason, please contact the mods as soon as possible. We will send your assignment to pinch hits, and you are welcome to remain in the discord server to socialise. Remember to default on your assignment on AO3.
Pinch hits are assignments that are unable to be fulfilled, but may be picked up by others to create on an accelerated timeline. All pinch hits must be completed in order for works to be revealed. They will be posted in the discord server, and on this tumblr account after 24 hours and operate on a first come, first served basis. To claim a pinch hit, open a ticket with the mods in the discord server.
