So after making a reasonably sized round case it makes sense to make something a bit more absurd, right? Right. Glad we’re all on the same page.

This is 15 inches (38.1 cm) in length and has an interior diameter of 1.5 inches (3.81 cm). The lid fits on and stays on with compression. Everything is hand sewn and hand carved. The inside is lined with deer hide while the outside is lined with cow.

The core very thick and made out of paper mache. I’m fairly certain you could drive a truck over it and it wouldn’t buckle or break. That or wack people with it...

It was originally designed to hold the pictured baton. I am a musician and conducting is a required course at univerisity. I grew a little and bought a better, longer baton that actually fits me; so the case has fallen out of use. But it’s great for storing knitting needles, hat pins, or anything else long and narrow that needs storing.
