Glad u told that anon to be proud to be black. I've kinda got a similar story. Back in my teens I gotta job in fast food. I was terrible at it. I had really bad anxiety. i would screw up orders all the time. Once I messed up this lady's order twice & she loudly asked if someone else could serve her because this COLORED KID can't get it right. I was too ashamed to speak up but now I wish I did. What would u have done? Young kid, first job, ur bad at it, do u speak up? What do u say? Or not say?

aw dude what?? i hope she spilled her coffee on her favourite bag, what a dick. i’m sorry you went thru that. honestly when i was a kid i woulda been too shocked to know what to say. that’s a fucked up thing for a kid (or adult tbh) to deal with, n u can’t always have a snappy comeback ready. dont beat yourself up. this is on that lady, not you.
