did everybody's brain just like reset after the whole thing happened with homestuck where there were a handful of horrible fans and then people began to hate the entire fandom to the point where otherwise reasonable people were sort of driven out of it because they actually got harassed for just liking a thing and then people realized that was bad too and not all homestucks were terrible and maybe you should just leave people be so long as they personally are not being terrible
because the same thing is happening with mlp right now
#like yes the fandom has it's issues#what fandom doesn't#but honestly it reeaally isn't as bad as people make it out to be#a lot of the stories you hear about horrible bronies turn out to be hugely exaggerated#or even false#like i complain about awkward bronies sometimes but there's awkward nerds everywhere#i just happen to have to deal with more awkward bronies because i cosplay mlp#can i plz just like a thing without being grouped in with the creepier fans
