@sgnlily / what ghost
ghosts do not exist. now that, that’s out of the way, lily is delusional. she really was, she claims that ghosts exist and that all these paranormal things are real. sure, they’re as real as unicorns and eight headed mice, because in his last nineteen years of living, his come to realise that none of it is true. his never seen a ghost, or a demon, or even those orb things that everyone claims to be spirits of the paranormal, a load of junk made to control the people of this naive society. if anything, people are a lot scarier than the ghouls, his heard possession is a thing that can happen and was hoping he could start collecting them like yu-gi-oh cards, summoning them from his deck at will. that’d sure give him an edge in boxing tournaments. an amusing thought.
the abandoned house that lily had chosen to take him to was not too far from their campus, it wasn’t too abandoned looking either. pity, that such a nice house had gone to waste and the sound of owls cooing wasn’t helping with the ambience either, it was rather peaceful and kaiser was starting to think that this was a little vacation, and not some sort of high stress ghoul hunting situation. “so, uh... why are you bringing me to this nice house?” he stands in front of the door, hands resting on his hips as he looks around the porch area, old creaky wooden planks layering one after the other, nails sticking up randomly, as wear and tear was evident.
he turns to the door, hand reaching for the handle, giving it a little shake and finding that it was locked. of course it is, why wouldn’t it be? everyone just likes making things more difficult for him, he lets out a sigh, taking a step back as he reels his foot back, kicking the door open. the wooden door flies open, hinges barely holding on and with a loud thud the wind wisps inside the old house. the smell of ancient timber and dust snuffling up his nostrils, a hand coming up to cover his nose as the other waves frantically at the cobwebs, “i’m more afraid of the spiders than whatever you’re trying to sell me.”
