I love the humbling sensation of re-learning HTML in an environment where every 'beginner' course assumes familiarity with CSS and Python.
#adventures in coding#html#baby's first try#to b fair i think the tutorial video for VSC is both out of date#and not structured for Coding Beginners#unfortunately it's required for the course I'm taking#and I'm still not sure if I can actually click in VSC for anything to do what I want#or if I just have to memorize all the keyboard prompts#because so far every time the video instructor says 'click this to do this'#something that isn't the thing that's supposed to happen is what happens#but if i use the keyboard prompt it's fine#it's like i'm getting negative feedback training I don't liiiike iiiiit weh#it took me almost an hour to open a folder and have it show up in the sidebar as it's supposed to#and then the next part of the video was just 'by the way this thing has an autofill function' which like#okay cool so does most of the internet WHAT ARE WE DOING#WHY ARE YOU TYPING IN THE THINGS YOU ARE TYPING#WHY DID YOU PUSH THAT BUTTON#WHAT IS ITS FUNCTION#FUCK why are we writing python now I just want to know how to input something and have it do what it's supposed to PLEASSSSSSSEEEEE#I might actually cry#i know i'm not stupid but i FEEL stupid
